Ramandeep’s all-round performance steers Chandigarh Police into finals

In the 1^st Semi Final match of the ongoing CII – Tata Motors Corporate Cricket Cup , Chandigarh Police defeated Barclays Bank by 5 wickets in the penultimate ( second last) over in an exciting fashion. The match looked like going any way before the 19^th over. Barclays Bank, while batting first, scored 137 /8 in their allotted 20 overs. Ritesh top scored with 36 off 41 balls while Kapil chipped in with a brilliant knock of 28 runs off 21 balls. From Chandigarh Police bowling, Ramandeep took 2 wickets in his 4 overs yielding just 16 runs while Parminder took 2 wickets yielding 27 runs in his 4 overs. Chandigarh Police batted superbly with a lot of confidence. Ramandeep showed great temperament and scored a brilliant knock of 41(n.o) off 36 balls while Sher Singh supported with a decent knock of 30 runs off 27 balls. Samrat from Barclays Bank took 3 wickets yielding 18 runs in his 4 overs. Chandigarh Police won in the 19^th over, scoring 138 / 5 of this much interesting match, well deserving to be the 1^st Semi Final of this exciting Corporate Cup.

Vodafone beats Competent in semis

Vodafone to clash with Chd Police on 25 Dec for title clash of CII - Tata Motors Cup

In the 2^ndSemi Final match of the ongoing CII – Tata Motors Corporate Cricket Cup, Vodafonedefeated Competent Synergies by 15 runs by D /L method.

Vodafone, while batting first, scored 135 /4 in their allotted 16 overs. Sanjeev Gupta top scored with 32 runs off 36 balls while JB Singh chipped in with a brilliant knock of 26 runs off 19 balls and Rahul scored 25 runs off 19 balls. From Competent’s bowling, Rajinder took 3 wickets in his 4 overs yielding 31 runs.

Competent Synergies were set a target of 67 runs in 9 overs by Duckworth / Lewis (D/L) method. While, Competent Synergies could score only 52 /5 in their 9 overs losing by 15 runs according to D/L method. Sajid scored 25 runs off 18 balls. Anil and Rahul took 2 wickets each from Vodafone.
