Punjab state Inter University
Youth festival is going on in its full bloom in Dasmesh Girls College of
Education, Badal. On the second day of the Inter University Youth Festival competitions
of theatrical items like drama, mimicry, mime, skit and competitions of
heritage items like ladies traditional songs, folk instruments, vaar, kali and
kawishri were held. Mr. K. K. Yadav, the Deputy Commissioner, Bathinda was the
chief guest in the morning session and Dr. S. S. Gill was the Chief Guest in
the evening session. The other eminent personalities present on the occasion
were Dr.S.M.Kant, Mrs.Kuldeep Kaur Tiwana, Prof. Rajpal, Dr. Surinder Sharma,
Mr. Aziz Qureshi, Dr. Ravi Taneja, Dr. Jagdish Kaur Bains, Dr. S.S Brar and Sh. S. S. Toor.Sh. K. K. Yadav, the Deputy
Commissioner, Bathinda, appreciated the efforts of Dr. S.S Sangha, S.M Kant
,Management and the staff for the successful organization of this grand Festival. He also inspired the
students to identify their potentialities and channelize their energies in a
constructive manner, because youth has great responsibility on its shoulders to
take this nation to the great heights. Dr. S. S. Gill also released a book
named ‘Punjabi Lok Gayaki Da Safar’ written by Hardial Thohi on this occasion.
Punjab Sangeet Natak Academy also honoured Mr. Hardial Sohi.The results of the various
