Chandigarh: 04 Dec/ Indian Navy celebrates 04 Dec as Navy Day. This Day is celebrated as a tribute to valiant to commemorate the very successful naval actions in the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal during the Indo Pakistan War of December 1971. Navy Week is observed from 1 to 7 December. On the Navy Day 2011 a function organised by Navy Foundation Chandigarh chapter on 04 Dec 2011. President of the Chapter Commander ML Mehandroo said that serving and retired navy Officers, sailors and their families will participate in the function. He said that Sh. Nek Chand creater of Rock Garden was the guest of honour and NCC cadets gave an entertainment performance on the occasion. This was sentimental occasion when veterans get together and exchange pleasure moments of life in the Navy.
