Companies involved in Solar Water Heating systems are participating in CII AgroTech 2012 in a big way and are demonstrating the systems and the benefits to the visitors at the Fair.
Inter Solar Systems Pvt. Ltd. has brought a new product to the Fair which is smaller in size and also costs less than the conventional Solar Water Heating Systems. The new Evacuated Glass Tube Manifold Collector works on Evacuated Tube technology, a technology now in use worldwide..
“The use of Solar power is growing but there is still lack of awareness among people” said Mr. Bhupendra Kumar, Director of Inter Solar Systems Pvt. Ltd.
Ms. Sangeeta Sahani, Marketing Manager of Coatec India, stated, “To boost awareness and demand, the Government of India has provided 30% subsidy for people living in plains and 60 % for people living in hilly areas. This is making a difference as, earlier, when I used to tell people about solar systems they used to refuse to listen saying it is costly but now I have seen people are showing a lot of interest .”
Mr. Bhupendra Kumar added, “Solar water heating is popular in foreign countries as compared to India. However, now many Hotels and Hostels in Punjab and Baddi are using the solar water heating system as it is eco friendly and also reduces the water heating costs by up to 90%. ”
