International buyers show interest in Indian digital tiles, stones & sanitary ware

Rajasthan has been acknowledged as an ‘ideal’ place to be developed as a ceramic and glass hub by International buyers at CeraGlass 2012.
On Monday, around 20 buyers from 13 countries arrived for special business meetings with Indian suppliers of raw materials and finished products in Ceramic and Glass sector at CeraGlass 2012, organized jointly by RIICO, CII and ICS. These meetings were arranged by CAPEXIL and CII. According to feedback received from 10 of these International buyers, sales transactions of an estimated value of around Rs 10 Crore have been finalized in around 35 Buyer – Seller meetings today."Rajasthan is a state where all the minerals, raw materials and chemicals required for ceramic industry are available. There is no other state in India with such an advantage for ceramics sector”, shared one of the buyers, Mr Rohan Avadhani, Technical Sales Manager at France-based Imerys Ceramics India.Mr Hans Jurgen Hofmann of Amberger Kaolinwerke (Germany) shared that“We have gained immensely by participating in CeraGlass 2012 which is an excellent platform for expanding our business prospects”.Mr M S Shivaaj, Director, Wistra Elmetherm (I) Pvt Ltd shared that “We are here to explore business opportunities, especially in Rajasthan. India can supply a lot of material to us, digitally printed tiles, glass mosaic tiles for swimming pools, wall stones, marbles, sanitary ware and chemicals etc”.Mr Vitaily Serdyakov, Director, Kaolin Co (Ukraine) informed that “We have come here with a lot of expectations. "We are thrilled with the business opportunities, CeraGlass has provided us. Everything is so well organized and showcased. We are looking forward to various business partnerships with our Indian counterparts for digitally printed ceramic tiles, wall tiles and sanitary ware.Mr S K Mehta, MD of Jaipur based Ocean Ceratech Pvt Ltd had a very fruitful business meeting with Mr Kidane H Mariam of Ethio-Queen Business Enterprise of Ethiopia. Mr Mehta’s firm is manufacturing chemical colours used in ceramic industries and is a major supplier to all the tile manufacturers.
"India has a definite advantage in quality for both digitally printed and vitrified tiles. The Indian products are excellent and we are hopeful of tie ups here today. We have had various meetings with Indain companies and are willing to import from here," shared Mr Konstantins Belajevs, CEO, Cita Santehnika, Lativia (Europe).
Mr Misel Capalija of Kimi-Commerce, from Croatia, Europe echoes same views. "I have discussed various aspects and terms in details relating to price, delivery and quality of various kinds of digitally printed tiles, float glass, concentrated solar power mirrors with various Indian tiles and glass manufactures including Somany tiles and we have tied up for imports from here as well."Mr Ajay Chadha, Director Procurement, Santination Products of America who has travelled all the way from USA to visit CeraGlass 2012 was very elated to find various companies of his interest. ”I am particularly looking for various chemicals used in ceramic, sanitary, glass and allied industry. I have had various fruitful meetings with Indian companies like Golcha Minerals, H& R Johnson, Harish Clays, etc and would soon start import of chemicals and minerals from here to USA”, he informed.
Mr Tushar Pathak, Marketing Manager, SACMI IMPIANTI INDIA shared that “We have benefitted immensely from the buyer seller meets today at CeraGlass. We met a lot of prospective buyers of machinery in ceramic and glass sector and have tied up with quite a few of them”.SACMI IMPIANTI INDIA is a subsidiary of the SACMI Group which makes fully automated machinery for Tiles and is the supplier to all major tile industries of India for example Somany, Kajaria, HR Johnson, Hindware and Nitco.“We interacted with a lot of domestic and international prospective clients and big companies who are interested in our sophisticated process control instruments. We also got the chance to get valuable feedback from our customers which helps us improve our products” emphasized Mr Yogesh Darji, Manager Sales, Shiwkon Digitek.The Buyer Seller meets at CeraGlass, attained the objective of providing a platform to help international and domestic buyers meet sellers from the region. This would really give a fillip to the ceramic and glass industry here in India.
