SPORTS DAY AT AIR FORCE SCHOOL 3BRD AF STATION CHANDIGARH

 Chandigarh: 30 Nov 2012 /The Annual Sports Day of Air Force School 3 Base Repair Depot (3BRD) for the academic session 2012-13 was held today. Air Commodore Suresh Singh Air Officer Commanding (AOC) 3BRD and Chairman School Management Committee the Chief Guest on the occasion declared the meet open.The students of the school participated in various events with great zeal and enthusiasm. They took part in events like Drill, Yoga, Taekwondo and other synchronized display activities along with various track events like Races, Slow Cycling and Tug of War. While participating the students were being cheered up by their classmates. In addition to students events various competitions among the parents, teachers and Group ‘D’ staff were also carried out.Master Himnashu Dhillon of class X was adjudged as the Best Boy and Ms Preity Pandey of class VIII was adjudged as the Best Girl in Sports for the session 2012-13. Out of four Houses of the School Shivaji House was declared as the ‘Best House in Sports’ on the basis of their overall performance. Mrs Kumud Singh, President, AFWWA (L) and Mrs Reena Srivastava, Ex-President AFWWA (L) gave away the prizes to the winners. In his address, the Chief Guest laid stress on the importance of sports and games in overall development of a child.He also emphasized how games make the students disciplined.
